Lee Nickless, the manager of Vital Heating, started selling plumbing and heating materials for a company called Harrison McCarthy in April 2000. After 7 years at the company and working his way from sales assistant to Manager of the branch at Northwich in Cheshire, the company started to fall into serious debt and in May 2007 Harrison McCarthy Limited was forced to close all its branches owing in excess of £4million in debts to suppliers, customers and staff.

After the closure, Appliance World realised there was now a need for a new Plumbers merchant in the Swinton area, as many fitters and members of the public were now left with nowhere to purchase high quality plumbing and heating supplies at low prices. They approached Lee after him giving them excellent service and advice for many years and asked if he would like to set up a brand new Plumbing and Heating showroom in Swinton. With over 35 Years of business behind them Lee realised this would be an ideal opportunity to further his experience in the field and in July 2007 the doors of Vital Heating were opened. In October 2007 we also managed to acquire the original Harrison McCarthy telephone number (0161-794 9021) so that we can help returning customers receive a service they expect and a level of expertise second to none. 

One year on and daily sales are still on the increase and new trade customers are setting up accounts with us every week.  Even with a slow down in the market due to the very well publicised "credit crunch", we can see from our figures that we must be doing something right as we now have a very well established customer base. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the installers and retail customers alike who have helped us during our first 12 months of trading, we hope to keep seeing you return and we will always ensure our service is at a level you are happy with.
